NoNoise AI is built with your privacy in mind. We process audio to isolate voices — and that's it.
Last updated: May 2025THE SHORT VERSION NoNoise AI does not collect, sell, or share your personal information. Audio files you upload are processed on our server and permanently deleted after your result is delivered. No accounts, no tracking, no analytics beyond Firebase usage metrics.
NoNoise AI does not collect personally identifiable information. We do not ask for your name, email address, phone number, or any information that identifies you as an individual.
No account creation or login is required to use any feature of the app.
The only data transmitted from the app is the audio or video file you choose to process, and this is handled as described in the Audio Processing section below.
When you submit an audio or video file for voice isolation, the file is uploaded to our processing server hosted on Google Cloud Run. The server uses our proprietary AI engine to separate voice from background audio.
Once processing is complete, the isolated voice file is temporarily stored in Firebase Storage (Google Cloud Storage) to allow you to download it. The file is assigned a randomly generated, unguessable URL.
After you download your result — or when you request deletion — the file is permanently removed from our server. We do not retain, review, analyze, or share your audio content in any way.
We do not use your audio for training, improvement of AI models, or any other purpose.
Microphone — Required to record audio within the app. The microphone is only active while you are actively recording. We do not access the microphone at any other time.
Camera — Requested for video recording if that feature is used. The camera is only active while you explicitly use it.
Storage / Media (Audio & Video) — Required to read audio or video files you select from your device for processing, and to save downloaded results to your device's music library. On Android 13+, we request the specific media permissions (READ_MEDIA_AUDIO, READ_MEDIA_VIDEO) rather than broad storage access.
Internet — Required to send your file to our processing server and retrieve the result.
You may deny or revoke any permission via your device settings. Revoking microphone or storage permissions will disable the corresponding features.
NoNoise AI uses Firebase (by Google) for the following purposes:
Firebase Core — Required infrastructure for Firebase services.
Firebase Analytics — We collect anonymized, aggregated usage events (e.g., screen views, feature usage) to understand how the app is used. This data does not include personal identifiers. You cannot be identified from this data.
Firebase Remote Config — Used to remotely adjust app settings such as free trial limits and UI text, without requiring an app update. No personal data is transmitted via Remote Config.
Firebase Storage — Temporarily stores your processed audio output. Files are deleted after download or on request.
Firebase's data practices are governed by Google's Privacy Policy. We do not configure Firebase to collect advertising IDs or personally identifiable information.
NoNoise AI stores the following data locally on your device only:
Processing History — A list of files you have processed, including file names and timestamps, stored in a local SQLite database on your device.
App Preferences — Settings such as your subscription status are cached locally using SharedPreferences.
This data is never uploaded to any server and is fully under your control. You can delete it at any time from within the app or by clearing app data via Android Settings.
NoNoise AI uses RevenueCat to manage in-app subscriptions. When you make a purchase, the transaction is handled by Google Play. RevenueCat receives a non-personally-identifiable purchase token to verify your subscription status.
RevenueCat does not receive your name, email address, or payment details. Those remain with Google Play.
RevenueCat's data practices are governed by their own Privacy Policy, available at revenuecat.com/privacy.
Audio files on our server are retained only until you download your result or explicitly request deletion. They are not archived or stored long-term.
Anonymized Firebase Analytics data is retained per Google's standard retention settings.
Local data on your device persists until you delete it via the app or uninstall the app.
NoNoise AI is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Since we collect no personal information from any user, the app presents no specific risk to younger users.
If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at the email below and we will address it promptly.
We may update this Privacy Policy as the app evolves. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
Continued use of the app after changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
